Our ENGAGE-ing Trip. Haha

YES!
It has finally happened!

We are ENGAGED.
Travis is not my boyfriend anymore. He is my adoring fiance! We got engaged on Friday [July 16, 2010]. Here is the story:

Travis asked me on Monday if we wanted to go to Wendover for a night, which I thought was weird because he never wants to drive to Wendover. I questioned him about it but he said well its part my goal to try new things. That seems understandable. Haha. But I was still suspicious....there really isnt a way to surprise me...because I will always know. So I had my ideas. And I was excited! Well Friday came around and when I got off from work I drove to his house and put all my stuff in his car and we were off! Well for about 10 seconds...because then I asked what was in his pocket....chapstick. Shoot. Then I decided to open the glove box and I proceeded to ask: Are Zoes' bones still in here?


AND THERE IT WAS


I saw the little red Shane Co box and Travis looked at me in shock saying: You saw! I tried to play it off like I didnt...but I totally did. Hahah! We laughed and laughed and he said: Who freaking opens a glove compartment wondering if Zoes' bones are still in there? Hahah! I said: Well who freaking keeps the ring in the glove compartment box while a very nosy, suspicious, obsessed girl sits in front of it?! Hahahah! But he told me what his was going to do and I was excited, because that it exactly what I thought he was gonna do!!!


Well, we got to the Salt Flats...[one of my all time favorite places....and he proposed to me there. He didnt get down on one knee because I dont like that. He had written a letter to me full of memories and events that led to him falling in love with me and wanting to be with me forever...which is awesome but really funny because as soon as he started with: MONIE....I cried. Hahahah! But it was a beautiful letter which we kept...obviously. And then he asked: Monica Marie Perez, will you marry me?. And it was then that we got engaged. We got out of the car and took some pics...not too many because it was windy and we wanted to get to our destination.

Ooh! We stayed at the Montego Bay in Wendover, where he booked us a suite that had a jacuzzi in our room. I totally need that in my house....amazing!!!! Taking a bath while watching TV?! Its the dream!!! Hahah! We gambled, drank, ate, jacuzzied....I loved it!!!

Here are some photos. We didnt take a lot...but we decided we will go back when its not cloudy and so windy. Hahah

OH! FYI....My ring is a white gold cathedral style band with a half carat cushion cut diamond. I ♥ it!!!! Sorry the pic isnt so good of it. Poop!
