Im back!!!!!

Hello internet world! I am back from Air Force Basic Training as an trained Airmen! Yay! I am actually in tech school right now at Keesler AFB studying personnel. I will be back in Utah on Oct 6. YAY! I am so happy right now! I will have to put up a longer post when I have time. Maybe tonight. Hahah!

I am an America Airman

So this is my last Sunday here in Utah. Well until I get back of course! But that won't happen until Oct 16ish...maybe before. *crossing fingers*. You see...on Tue I will begin my amazing adventure [and transformation] to becoming an American Airman in the worlds best Air Force! Yes! I am going to Air Force Basic Training!!!! Boot camp you may say. Haha. I have had a lot of people ask me if I am scared...and to be really honest...I am not. I am more so excited than anything. The only thing that really irritates me is leaving Travis, Zoe, my parents, and all the other people that I love and care about. But its okay, I will push through because it is only for 3 1/2 months. We can make it! It will be so worth it in the end. I cant wait to start my military career!!!!

BTW....Its official!

Travis and I are now husband and wife. Yay! After nearly 7 years. I am not one to believe in fairy tales....but this is a happy ending. :)

June 21 2011 & Oct 5 2011

Those dates are important because I leave for Basic training on June 21! And I come home from Basic training as well as Tech School on Oct 5. I will be returning as a soldier for the best country ever! Whoo!

...meps/asvab...

Oh man! So Monday February 14, I will be going down to West Valley to the Salt Lake MEPS station where I will take my ASVAB as well as getting a complete physical and then SWEARING in to the United States Air Force!!!! WHOO! I can't believe that I am actually going to do this! I am so stoked and proud of myself! I have been playing around with this idea for a while now and I am glad that I have come to a decision. YAY! Of course I won't leave until after Trav and I get married...der...but I want to leave for Basic and Tech School before we start a family. So I am hoping to leave a couple of months after we get married. This is going to be such a good thing for us...I will be able to contribute more to our little family and perhaps my future children will be so proud of their military mama!

I am enlisting right now, but after I am in I will try my bestest to get accepted into OTS [Officer Training School] so I can become an Officer in the military! YES! More $$$! But the good thing is that since I already have a Bachelors Degree, I will already get paid more than a normal Airman would. Also, with the GI Bill and Tuition Assistance I will be able to go back to school for another Bachelors [in Criminal Justice] and then [hopefully] getting a Masters Degree. I am really interested in getting involved into the AFOSI. Which is like detective work. I love stuff like that! Sweet!

We shall see how everything pans out, but as of right now, I am pretty proud of the decisions I have made and will be making. Serving the United States of America as a tough ass chick!

My boss gave me a $100 gift card to Heavy Duty Tattoos in Ogden and boy was I excited! These guys are amazing! They have been featured in Tattoo Life Magazine a few times and they are in many tattoo conventions. It was a great experience! Love it!

HAPPY 2011! [and 12 days]

Okay so again for New Years we went to Vegas! I know it seems like so much Vegas, but I think of it like this. All through my teens as well as a few of my early "early" 20's I was so worried & focused on graduating college that I never really let totally loose. And now...oh especially now...that we are both graduated, have our own home, dont have children... I feel that we can really live up the rest of our 20's! It is going to be a really fun 5 years. Because when you turn 30, to me, that is when you really need to start being uber responsible and focused. That is when I will start think about a family & everything like that. But enough from Monica's brain. Here are some images from Vegas. I did not get photos of everything....these are probably just from the bar we hung out at on New Years Eve. But they are a hoot!!!!
